General about the tool
The OMT tool view consists of 3 main sections:Options menudisplays the steps available for customizing your banner. You can edit the options in any order, also after the banners have been generated - just edit the options and click Re-generate banners button to see the updates in the generated banners.The middle editing areadisplays the editable items for each step presented in the Options menu. The tool remembers the selections you have made in each of the steps so there is no need to worry about losing any data. The top right corner of the editing area features a little info icon that will give you more details about editing the current step.Live previewshows a draft preview of the banner you are creating. The preview banner is updated almost immediately after you have made changes to the banners. Please note that the live preview only features one banner size - some of the editing options may not affect this banner size. To review all needed banner sizes click Generate banners button.Nokia store apps
Generating bannersClick Nokia Store in the navigation area to open the banner creation tool and go to Application options. Select the language/country where you want to promote your app and copy the Nokia Store URL of your application to the URL field e.g. http://store.ovi.com/content/25855 (remove any extras). This will also be the URL where your banners will link to. OMT looks up for the application details automatically - just check that everything looks ok and edit the details if needed.Choosing copytextsNext, go to Copytext options and choose the language you want to promote your app in from the supported languages list. Then select the copy texts for your banners - Long copy for larger banners, short copy for smaller banners.Device and Screenshot selectionIn Device selection and Screenshot selection options you can define what device image and screen will be used in the banner. Be sure to choose a phone your app supports. For the screenshot choose the one that best highlights your app. Your app icon will be displayed in the screenshot.Banner visuals and output sizesSet the appearance of your banners in the Banner visuals and Banner output sizes options. Choose from 2 different visual styles and 3 different banner size sets the ones that suite your usage the best - select all visuals and sizes to be generated in one go if needed. MMA banners for mobile web and IAB banners for online are the standard sizes used widely in all digital advertising. Spotlight banners are Nokia Store online assets.Downloading bannersAfter you have generated your banners click "Host" if you want an embed code that enables the banners to be hosted on the OMT server instead of hosting them on your own site. For a downloadable zip-package containing all your banner files, click "Download".Windows Phone Marketplace apps
